Previously, I had thought I would get funding for the summer, so I was reckless in spending (because I believed I would get more money in the summer and could afford it). Unfortunately, this week I ended up finding out that I won't be getting the funding after all (admittedly due to my incompetence - I have nobody to blame but myself), and so I find myself completely short on funds.
Stupidly, before I found out, I had already ordered a bunch of Adeptus Titanicus stuff. Oh, well. Anyway, they arrived this week (I ordered them about a week or 2 before I received the bad news - talk about terrible timing). So with nothing better to do - and suddely with a bit more free time because I essentially was "fired" (not that I was ever actually hired, though), I decided to take my mind off the terrible events that have befallen me by indulging in Warhammer 40,000.
Oh, and I also finally got my copy of Doom of Molech today. Emperor Banzai!
Anyway, I assembled a Reaver Titan and a Warlord Titan, and magnetized them. So even though they look like this, I will be able to swap out their arms and carapace weapons when I get more options in future (again, I ordered a whole bunch of stuff before I received the bad news, and am only receiving them after I realized to my dismay that I will not be getting funding after all). Still cool, though. I've already assembled the paired laser blasters, but I don't really like them, so I'm waiting until I get a second turbo laser destructor before I plant both of them on top of my plasma Warlord Titan.
I wonder what they will look like once I get all the weapon options. My eventual plan is to have 1 Warlord Titan with dual plasma annihilators and paired turbo laser destructors, 1 Reaver Titan with Apocalypse missile launcher and 2 volcano cannons, and 1 Warlord Titan with dual volcano cannons and paired Apocalypse missile launchers. They will be escorted by a pair of Cerastus Knight Lancers. I can either stick to the Myrmidion Heavy Maniple, or go for the Fortis Battle Maniple via using Legio Fortidus's Legion Trait to replace a Reaver Titan with a Warlord Titan. Heh. We'll see. Most likely I'll stay with the former, as rolling a 2+ to fire a second attack with a single weapon is just too good to pass up, but I am also tempted to merge the void shields of my volcano cannons Warlord and Reaver as well as get the armor bonus to them. If necessary, I can swap the volcano cannons for melta cannons or something...eventually, if we get more carapace weapons (like carapace Vulcan mega-bolter or paired macro-gatling blasters). We'll see.
I'll be working on my second Warlord Titan and magnetizing him tomorrow!
About My Blog
Ave Omnissiah!
My blog is primarily my own personal fluff in the Warhammer 40,000 universe regarding the Draconis system such as the Knight House Yato in Ryusei, their Household Militia, the Draconian Defenders, and the Forge World of Draconis IV with its Adeptus Mechanicus priesthood, Cybernetica cohorts and Skitarii legions, and the Titan Legion, Legio Draconis, known as the Dark Dragons.
