Also, I think I'll be dropping the Starry Knight project in favor of completing my visual novel. Sorry. Anyway, I'm tracking the progress of my visual novel here, partly to see if I can really see this to the end. While I did so, I've been experimenting with a lot of stuff, including animating videos. You've probably already seen the Reincarnator x Regressor teaser earlier in July, and I've improved the animation with LTX-2.5. Again, my workflows and processes are all tracked here.
For now, I thought I should share some of what I've been doing so far.
This is a promotional video for Reincarnator x Regressor. I drew the illustrations here, and got my MCP servers to animate them.
This, though, is my showcase for now. It's the opening to my visual novel, A Murim Mage Transmigrated into a Murim World. Let's just say I was inspired by ADayASMR's Lumos Lumos Malfoid (not fond of that name because of the incel associations, but oh well) videos, and I tried to create my own.
Admittedly, to create my visual novel, I use AI-generated assets. It's not feasible for me to draw hundreds of sprites, CGs, props, and assets, so I end up relying on AI. I've set up an entire pipeline or webcomic MCP server ecosystem to make it possible. The project is more of a personal desire to see how far I can go with vibe coding to create a minimum viable product, or an actual game.
If I have more videos, I'll just post them here, even if no one wants to watch them. Mostly because I just want to give sporadic updates to show I'm not dead or that I'm not abandoning the hobby. Just distractions here and there.
Speaking of which, I'm tempted to do the same for Starry Knight, but I know people in the hobby are very against using AI for Warhammer 40,000 art, and I believe I should draw the line here. It's one thing to use AI to generate assets for my personal visual novel project, but I'm not sure I can or should use it for Warhammer 40,000 stuff. Oh, well. Best to avoid controversy and stick to my own stuff.
