I felt the same with the Cerastus Knights in plastic too. They were so fun to build that I bought a second Lancer and added a Castigator on top of that. Awesome.
The volkite carronade looks awesome. I can't wait to field this guy. I think he will be in my Dark Angels Ironwing company. I will need to get a couple more tanks, and I'm thinking of adding a Sicaran Venator. Eventually, if they ever release the Sicaran Omega in plastic, I will add him too!
I equipped this guy with laser destroyer sponsons for now because they are cool. As usual, I collected the combi volkite. One day, I will have enough to equip a Terminator squad of 10 with combi-volkite or something.
To my pleasant surprise, I found out that you can make two pairs of sponsons! There are enough bits left over to assemble a second pair of sponsons, this time the lascannon array! This must be the lascannon array sprue from the Spartan box. So now the laser destroyer and heavy bolter battery sprue is shared across the super-heavy tanks and the Spartan variants! If I want, I can swap the laser destroyer sponsons for lascannon array!
By the way, this is the size comparison between a Glaive and a Stormblade. Basically a size comparison between the Legiones Astartes super-heavy tanks and the Imperial Army Baneblade/Shadowsword variants! They look pretty similar in size!
More angles to show you the scale. You can see that they are not only roughly the same height, but even almost the same length! The Mailed Fist was telling the truth. The Astartes super-heavy tanks are based on the Imperial Army Baneblade chassis!
We will see what the future brings!
