Valdor tank destroyer

Guess what? I now have a Valdor tank destroyer! Preordered it from my friendly local gaming store, bought it today, and now he's assembled! I can destroy tanks now! Both in the 31st and 42nd millenniums.

Putting him side by side with my Leman Russ tanks and Rogal Dorn for comparison. Maybe even my Stormblade. Heh.

Sorry, Space Wolves friends, but I'm going to make the joke anyway. Leman Russ is the smallest out of all 3. So we have Leman Russ, Rogal Dorn and now Valdor. 2 Primarchs and the Chief Custodian/Captain-General of the Legio Custodes. And Leman Russ is the smallest! Hah! Rogal Dorn is the tallest and biggest, as expected of the best Primarch and Praetorian, while Valdor is lean and long. Interesting.

None of them are as big as my Stormblade, though!

I do have this weird headcanon to explain why there was no Rogal Dorn tanks during the Horus Heresy. The Adeptus Mechanicus only began construction of a tank using a newly discovered STC after the Siege of Terra, and to honor the Praetorian's defense of Holy Terra from the machinations of the arch-traitor Horus Lupercal, they named the tank Rogal Dorn. So the Rogal Dorn is a more recent tank discovered (or created) after the Horus Heresy, and used by the newly christened Astra Militarum. Or Imperial Guard. Because you're in the Guard, son. Not the Astra Miliwhat.

Not sure if that makes sense or justifies the lack of Rogal Dorns in the Horus Heresy and the sudden appearance as an Astra Militarum tank and how they "always appeared to be around (aka retcon, like Armigers)." But hey, headcanon is headcanon. I think. And now I have the trio of Primarchs and Custodes Captain-General!
