Sorry for not posting as regularly. Knights Moirax are up for preorder and I didn't cover that other than the FAQ and forge world rules. Whoops. Anyway, I plan to get a couple because of how awesome they look, and I'm willing to trade the claws for more volkite weapons. So if anyone wants to trade their volkite weapons, or even lightning cannons for the claws, please let me know! I'm based in the United States, for reference.
But that's not what this post is about. I've managed to get my hands on a copy of the Chaos Knights codex, and...I'm kind of surprised by one thing. Why are most of the Chaos Knights pilots...women? That was just weird. Over half of the Knights featured in the Iconoclast and Infernal Houses (the lore and fluff pages) are women. I'm referring to the single-page devoted Knights. You have Dan Marta and Eternal Dread of House Herpetrax. You have Brynhild and The Burning Sky of House Khymere. You have Xitra CDV and Drixia's Maul of House Vextrix. You have Kyoptis and Prey Seeker of House Khomentis. That's four out of five Knights from the Iconoclast and Infernal Households. Okay, I'm all for gender equality, and I'm glad that women are getting featured much more in Warhammer 40,000, especially since it has been male dominated for so long. Hooray for Commissar Severina Raine!
But...this is just...weird. Or is Games Workshop saying that women Knight pilots and female nobles fall to Chaos more easily than men Knight pilots and male nobles? There are a few male Chaos Knights, like Obidar and Iron Malice of House Lucaris, but he's the only confirmed male so far. All the other Knight pilots featured are mostly female. Such a high proportion of female Chaos Knight pilots seem to indicate one thing.
That female nobles fall to Chaos more easily than male nobles. Everything begins to fall to place now. It makes sense now. Now I understand why House Cadmus and many other Knight Houses, such as House Procon Vi, only allow male pilots for their Imperial Knights. Because female pilots are more easily corrupted!
...or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Ave Omnissiah!
My blog is primarily my own personal fluff in the Warhammer 40,000 universe regarding the Draconis system such as the Knight House Yato in Ryusei, their Household Militia, the Draconian Defenders, and the Forge World of Draconis IV with its Adeptus Mechanicus priesthood, Cybernetica cohorts and Skitarii legions, and the Titan Legion, Legio Draconis, known as the Dark Dragons.

Forge World Knights get an update!
Forge World Knights get an update! According to Warhammer Community, we have a new FAQ and a new update for Forge World Knights! It's actually for Chaos Knights, but we get some great new rules for our Forge World Knights as well, along with rules for the new Acastus Knight Asterius, and the upcoming Knights Moirax!
You can access to PDF here if you don't want to go to the Warhammer Community website for some reason.

I know for sure I'll be getting the Volkite Knights in future! I love volkite, and I intend to build a Household of Knights using volkite weaponry, reinforced by Carnodon tanks with volkite weapons. I'll have to stick with Leman Russ Executioner tanks until they give us rules for the Leman Russ Incinerator, but...I won't hold my breath on that!

Mechanicus game gets an expansion!
According to Warhammer Community, Mechanicus will be getting an expansion! In this new expansion, you'll be fighting Hereteks, or traitor elements of your own Mechanicus forces! Dark Mechanicum?

Well, not exactly Dark Mechanicum, but there has been an uprising in your Ark Mechanicus while you've been going around fighting the Necrons. Sucks to be you, but hey...that's life in the Adeptus Mechanicus, and the grim, dark universe of the 41st Millennium. After all, there is only war. You didn't think you'll get off lightly after tangling with the Necrons, did you?

You can order them on Steam now, and you get a few bonuses if you buy the Heretek+ Edition! Cool, I guess? Anyway, have fun! I won't be able to, since I have to do my preliminary exams and all that. Sucks to be me too, I guess, but hey, at least I'm subscribing to the Adeptus Mechanicus doctrine and hoarding knowledge!

Acastus Knight Porphyrion
We're getting Acastus Knight Porphyrion for Adeptus Titanicus! Pre-orders will be up this weekend, along with tons of Adeptus Titanicus stuff, and the command terminals. We have living legends from the Horus Heresy too, though I'm not that interested in them. I'm more interested in Knights. Oh, and next month's White Dwarf also has something for us who want to create our own legios. Nice!

You can check out the news on Warhammer Community, as usual.

That's not much for me to say that you don't already know. The Acastus Knights are the heaviest and largest Knight class, bigger than the Cerastus Knights and almost on par with a Warhound Titan. They have super-thick armor and super-heavy weaponry, enough to blow Titans apart. Nice!

They are 80 points base, with BS 4+, though I have no idea how many points the weapons will cost. We'll find out, I guess? The twin magna lascannons are 4 attacks each, which is really cool. Says they are paired, which means 8 shots per model? Wow. You can take one banner of each Acastus Knight, or up to 4 if you want, depending. Pretty cool, if you ask me. Heh.
Anyway, they are up for pre-orders on July 13th, so look forward to them! I'll definitely be getting them. I think. No news on the Questoris upgrade pack, though, so that one might take a bit longer.

Sick
Sorry, I wanted to post on the Imperial Knights Faction Focus, but I am severely ill. Have been somewhat bedridden with fever, aches and chills, as well as incessant coughing for the past few days. It's been pretty bad.
I'm sure you'll find out more on Warhammer Community, and there are already leaks on the Skorpius Dunerider and Skorpius Disintegrator available online, so you can check those out too. The Skorpius Dunerider costs 73 points total, while the Skorpius Disintegrator with Belleros energy cannon costs about 111 points, and the other version costs 116 points. About the same as an Onager Dunecrawler. Pretty cheap, I guess.
I'm in no condition to write about them or think what I want to get, so I'll be heading to bed and trying to recover as quickly as possible. Also have university stuff to deal with tomorrow...so ciao.

Apocalypse Datasheets now available for download!
Just saw this on the Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page. Apocalypse datasheets are now available for download! WOOHOO!!
You can access the website here. Even better, they have Death Korps of Krieg and Elysian Drop Troops too! Not to mention Renegades and Heretics and Titan Legions! YAY!
By the way, the Skorpius Disintegrator has no transport capacity at all, so it's just a hover tank.

Adeptus Mechanicus for Apocalypse

Today, Warhammer Community has a Faction Focus on the Adeptus Mechanicus!

That's a lot of models! Wow. Not a big fan of the Electro-Priests, though. But you can imagine Skitarii marching alongside Knights, robots and Titans (my Secutarii are going to come in useful here!). I'll probably keep my Adeptus Mechanicus contingent small and focus on Knights and Imperial Guard tanks.

We have an army-wide rule that allows us to re-roll saving throws of 1. Not sure how useful that is when we have to roll D12s for large blast markers, but I guess I'll take that.
Kastelan Robots have pretty cool battle protocols.

Yup, pretty sweet.

They really are pushing this guy, aren't they? We have...barrage weapons.

Looks cool, I guess.
Our Canticles have turned into Command Assets, and they look really, really awesome.

Yeah, rolling D12s for a BS 3+ means your chances of hitting just went up from 67% to 84%, and WS 4+ probably means 50% to 75%, so it's really good!
Oh, and we'll be getting a Crusade Case XL, which will be extremely useful for my Knights. Yay.
