My blog is primarily my own personal fluff in the Warhammer 40,000 universe regarding the Draconis system such as the Knight House Yato in Ryusei, their Household Militia, the Draconian Defenders, and the Forge World of Draconis IV with its Adeptus Mechanicus priesthood, Cybernetica cohorts and Skitarii legions, and the Titan Legion, Legio Draconis, known as the Dark Dragons.

Space Hulk Deathwing Arsenal Trailer

Space Hulk: Deathwing has released a new Arsenal trailer for all of you to enjoy! It features a huge variety of weapons, including the storm bolter, redemption storm bolter variant, force sword, assault cannon, thunder hammer and storm shield, plasma cannon and heavy flamer. I didn't see any multi-melta, so I don't know if that will be in the game.

Also shows the Mace at the end, but I think it will function similarly to the thunder hammer. We shall see. I prefer the heavy flamer, though.

What are your favorite weapons?

Genestealer Cult Codex

Faithful servants of the Emperor, beware! An enemy has risen from within our ranks! Be careful of the heretical lies they spread and the four-armed false god they worship. The Genestealer Cult is on the ascent, and we, the stalwart defenders of the Imperium, must stand firm and exterminate these foul beasts.

Do not fall prey to their blasphemous lies, good Guardsman! If you suspect anyone of ever having been tainted by their insidious seed, without fail report him or her to your regimental Commissar...IMMEDIATELY! We must purge these heretical xenos from the Imperium once and for all!

War Zone: Fenris saga part II

Remember when I posted the Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page asking for 40,000 likes so that they will post something from an unannounced and unreleased book?

That's right. As of 13 September, 0318 hours (Minnesota time - GMT - 6:00), the picture from the unannounced and unreleased book has been revealed.

This is artwork from the book of part II in the saga of the War Zone: Fenris series. The sequel to the Curse of the Wulfen campaign is arriving soon!

Not sure what's going on here, but it seems that Tzeentch drop pods are falling into Fenris from orbit above, and the wolve confronting the serpent in the background of space represents the symbolic battle between the Space Wolves and the forces of Tzeentch - which are most presumably the Thousand Sons. Or so we hope. We shall see...after the burning of Prospero by the evil Space Wolves, the innocent and wronged Thousand Sons will finally have their revenge! Muahahahaha! For the Emperor!

Wait...wrong side. Whoops. But hey, the Emperor told the Space Wolves to bring Magnus back to Terra, not to raze Propsero to the ground, so they're basically heretics in my eyes. And I don't get it, wasn't the Inquisition declaring Exterminatus on Fenris at the end of the Curse of the Wulfen? What happened to that? Oh well...at least the Dark Angels and Grey Knights are on hand to help the Space Wolves fight off the forces of Tzeentch...I hope. Who knows?

And will this be somehow tied to the Thirteenth Black Crusade, which has just recently been released as a campaign in the new book Traitor's Hate?

Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page

I just received this message from my astropath, and I thought I should share it with everyone.

The Commissar's right behind us! If you don't hit that Like button now, he'll put a bolt round through your head. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Space Hulk Deathwing preorder bonuses

Hello, everyone! If you've been following Space Hulk: Deathwing on their Facebook page, you'll probably know about the preorder bonuses.

From now until November, if you preorder Space Hulk: Deathwing on Steam, you'll receive a 15% discount. Not only that, you'll also receive an exclusive in-game weapon, the Lost Mace of Corswain! Brace for some Mace action, and smash that Mace into the Brood Lord's Face!

I think the preorder bonuses are a pretty sweet deal, it's worth getting 15% off the already cheap price. I mean, the original price is about two-thirds that of Titanfall 2, and with a further 15% off, it's about half the price for a probably equally good game! Well, that remains to be seen because you get much faster and smoother movement in Titanfall 2 and can call down Titans (someone please make that Imperial Guardsman game I was talking about, where you can upgrade your weapons and eventually call down an Imperial Knight of your own for some mecha action). But this looks to be a great game nonetheless, and I hope I can find coop partners online!

So what are you waiting for? Strap into your Tactical Dreadnought Armor, form your elite Terminator squad and let's purge the Space Hulk of Xenos! For the Emperor!

Forge World Secutarii Titan Guard

Forge World has released an upgrade set and rules for their new Secutarii Titan Guard! You can find the rules here and order the upgrade set for the Secutarii Peltasts and Secutarii Hoplites in Forge World.

SECUTARII PELTASTS UPGRADE SET

The first type of Secutarii Titan Guard, the Secutarii Hoplites are a bunch of Haywire Skitarii that use arc lances, similar to arc mauls and the Cerastus Knight Lancers' lances. They are used to whack vehicles to death, you know, the usual glance to death by Haywire? So charge them in and use them to glance those all-round AV14 Land Raiders to death. The arc lances can be used for both melee and shooting attacks, so spam those Haywire attacks! The range is pretty short, though, only 12", so you need to throw them as close to those enemy vehicles as possible. Even against non-vehicle enemies, their arc lances are decent in close combat, conferring +1 Strength and AP4. Not that it helps since the Secutarii Hoplites only have S3 in their profile...

The Secutarii Peltasts are the shooting guys. They use galvanic-casters, which have 3 different types of ammunition. One is flechette burster which is salvo 2/4 and shred, but has twice the range of the normal flechette blasters and 1 additional Strength. Pretty cool, huh? Then Ignis blaze, which is a small blast that Ignores Cover, but only S3 AP5. The cool thing is that they can fire this ammunition at a unit out of line of sight, so long as the targets are not camping inside a building or enclosed space. Oh, and it also blinds, but is only 18" range. The last one seems the most useful one - the kinetic hammershot has a whooping 30" range, and does a S4 AP3 heavy attack with Rending. Awesome. Well, both kinetic hammershot and Ignis blaze are heavy and but thankfully you have Relentless so you can fire those two even if you moved. Let the holy wrath of the Omnissiah descend upon our foes!

Both Secutarii units can be taken as Elites choices in your Skitarii Maniple. Hooray. Ugh, sucks you can't use them as Troops, that would be awesome. Oh well. They also come with a Kyropatris Field Generator, which allows you to re-roll failed armor saves of ones, and shooting attacks that target them have their Strength reduced by 1. Nifty. The catch is that you must have at least 5 survivors in your unit for the first bonus and a full-strength squad for the second (that is, no casualties). So once you lose even a single Sectarii dude, you don't get the -1 Strength to your opponent's shooting attacks against them. Oh well.

Anyway, have fun! The Omnissiah has blessed us with these new units, so start making use of them!

New Freeblade chapter up

This isn't anything to post about, in all honesty, but here's the new chapter of my Freeblade story. Don't expect much, there are no epic naval battles or tense boarding action in this chapter. Just the usual move-along stuff.

That said, you might want to read all the way to the end. Ha ha.

I'll do my best to bring the action back the next chapter, and perhaps put a lot more focus on the Freeblade himself. I mean, he's the titular character! Ugh.

Skitarii Reinforcements Inbound!

For all you Forge World and Adeptus Mechanicus fans out there (with me obviously being one of them), here is an update from Forge World.

Message in binary: Skitarii Reinforcements Inbound!

I bet we'll be receiving news on Forge World Skitarii models tomorrow! Their datasheets and information should be provided in the newest Imperial Armor volume (14) that is slated to be release sometime soon.

Imperial Armor Volume 14: Fires of Cyraxus will be about the Adeptus Mechanicus versus Tau. So you'll be seeing Legio Cybernetica going up against Tau battlesuits, and new rules for Secutarii for the Skitarii. Not to mention Red Scorpions Chapter Master Carab Culln is now a Leviathan Dreadnought, so yeah. Cool. I guess.

The Omnissiah has blessed us with new knowledge!
