No one wants to play against Knights

So I was trying to get a game at my local gaming store today, and my friend who works at the store and organizes stuff, sent me a message.

"no, sorry, but no one wants to play against Knights."

Looks like I became THAT guy after crushing everyone one-sidedly with my Imperial Knights despite not meaning to do so. Uh oh. Sorry. So until I find new opponents and a new local gaming store (actually, I already did!), there will be no battle reports for a while. Sorry.

For the Emperor! Ugh...Knights really are...strong.

  1. Two knights are pretty decent. A knight army is extremely difficult for most armies (outside one tailored to fight the knights) to deal with. Their damage output is just so horrific. Def going to get some point/power adjustments.

    1. Their points costs are already exorbitant enough that I can barely fit in a small Detachment to support 3 Knights. :(

They are not unbeatable. I have played games (against a Space Wolves list with a few Longfangs) where my opponent destroyed all 3 Knights.

    2. You can take on a multiple knight list, if you build to fight anti armor. But knights will walk over some armies who aren't prepared. That same space wolf list would have been eaten alive by an ork or nid horde army. (Knight lists dominate all-rounder lists). Just gotta shoot the double battle cannons at their anti tank and wipe it out on the first turn.

    3. Yeah, I did that, but had a few bad rolls. He had 3 squads of Longfangs, I think some heroic character on a wolf sled that killed my Knight Errant in combat, Rune Priests with Smite, so it was quite difficult to deal with all his heavy weaponry and mortal wound output.
