Adeptus Titanicus Myrmidion Heavy Maniple

I managed to finish assembling the second volcano cannon and melta cannon that I got from the upgrade sprue available on the Games Workshop website, as well as an Apocalypse missile launcher for the Reaver Titan! Essentially I can now equip my Reaver Titan with 2 Volcano cannons and the Apocalypse missile launcher, or 2 melta cannons and the Apocalypse missile launcher or turbo laser destructor.

Speaking of turbo laser destructor, I assembled a second one for that as well, so now I can run my Warlord Titan with paired turbo laser destructors instead of paired laser blasters. I prefer the turbo laser destructors because they are cheaper in points and they don't lose accuracy over long distances. I won't have the extra shots that come with the laser blasters, but that's fine. Accuracy over quantity! And I need to save the points.

With that, I have a 1,500 point list for Adeptus Titanicus! I can field a Myrmidion Heavy Maniple with 2 Warlord Titans and 1 Reaver Titan. One Warlord Titan is equipped with paired turbo laser destructors and 2 Sunfury plasma annihilators. The other Warlord Titan is equipped with Apocalypse missile launchers and 2 Belicosa volcano cannons. And the Reaver Titan is armed with an Apocalypse missile launcher and 2 volcano cannons. Yeah, that's a lot of volcano cannons, but I guess that's how it is for my Titans. Especially since it's a Myrmidion Heavy Maniple, I probably am aiming for long-range weapons such as the Apocalypse missile launchers and volcano cannons because of the First Fire order preventing me from moving. I'm actually hoping Forge World restocks their Mori quake cannons and macro gatling blasters for US so that I can buy them. And the carapace weapons too (like the Vulcan mega-bolter). We'll see!

And rounding out my Myrmidion Heavy Maniple is a Cerastus Knight Banner of 2 Cerastus Knight Lancers! They will be super helpful in running around, outflanking the enemy and engaging them in melee. They basically take on the role of Warhound Titans.

Eventually I'll get the Questoris Knights with upgrade sprue and a couple of Acastus Knight Porphyrion for bigger games, but for now I'm content with what I have. I heard they are repackaging the Questoris Knights to include the Stormspear rocket pods and Thunderstrike Gauntlets, as well as meltaguns, so I'll wait for them before buying a new box. I'll also be getting those cool looking Acastus Knights! I can't wait to play Adeptus Titanicus!

As a side note, I have also gotten a Vindicare Assassin and finally gotten around to painting my Castellax-achea battle-automata. Wait, didn't I sell my Thousand Sons? Well...I'm planning on running these as normal Castellax battle-automata with Darkfire cannons. I don't really play Horus Heresy, so I'll be waiting for rules for 40,000...soon. If they ever get around to it. I have no idea. But once they do, you can bet I'll be getting a bunch of Castellax battle-automata! Maybe. I have a single Thanatar siege-automata and Vultarax stratos-automata, but that's all I have...and my kitbashed Kastelan robots (which I combined with Ambots). We'll see! It'll also be awesome if we get new kind of rules depending on what kind of Adeptus Mechanicus army we run (Legio Cybernetica, Skitarii, Ordo Reductor, Myrmidon, Ordinatus, etc.).

As for the Vindicare Assassin, if you recall, I already have an Eversor Assassin. I intend to make good use of the Imperial Assassins Index in White Dwarf a couple of months ago. So I'll be using the Operative Requisition Sanctioned Stratagem a lot! Depending on what I need, I'll be using either the Eversor or the Vindicare. Fluff-wise, my Guardsmen basically fight alongside Skitarii, but the Tech-priest Dominus has access to an Eversor Assassin stasis pod (much like Deus Ex Mechanicus), and when there's an emergency, he'll override the stasis pod and unleash the Eversor Assassin on the enemies of the Omnissiah. Of course, after discussing it with the Knight Daimyo (Baron) and Guard regimental commander present. Or, if there's a high-value leader they need to snipe, they'll request for a Vindicare Assassin. YAY!

Adeptus Titanicus Downloadable Command Terminals

Warhammer Community has posted on downloadable Command Terminals for Adeptus Titanicus today. REJOICE!

I almost got my Knights, except that I learned that we would be getting a new box with the upgrade sprue (3 Thunderstrike Gauntlets and 3 Stormspear rocket pods, plus 2 meltaguns). I wish they would provide the upgrade sprue for the alternative primary weapons as well (Avenger Gatling cannon, rapid-fire battle cannon and thermal cannon, and even the Forge World ones like the Volkite Chieorovile or lightning cannon), but seems that that's too much to ask. Oh well.

At least we have free downloadable Command Terminals!

Do take note that the printable versions have been reduced in size for PDF formating or something. They can still be used as the same terminal, I mean, you literally have all the weapons printed on the terminals for the Knights. Oh, they also have the Command Terminals for the Titans, but I don't know how they would work without the weapons. Still cool of them to do this, though. I think. I'm sure people will say no, and accuse me of suffering from Stockholm Syndrome (lots of Games Workshop haters out there who would flame them no matter what they do, and insult people who are positive about their releases like me), but...let's just ignore them for now and be happy. I know I'm going to start printing a couple of these!

This is what they look like, when you compare the ones they have already released with the one in the PDF they provided. A bit smaller, but I think it makes sense somewhat.

You can find the PDFs here and print them accordingly.

Name reveal on new Forge World Armigers

I thought this would be useful for those Imperial or Mechanicus Knight players wanting to find out more about the Forge World Armigers promised inside Horus Heresy book 9: Crusade. Introducing the Knight Moirax.

So the guy with the volkite is Mechanicum Knight Moirax with Volkite Veuglaire and Gyges Siege Claw (whatever that means). Why Mechanicum "Knight" and not "Armiger"? I have no idea. Anyway, this is the one variant I have my eye on, because Volkite, but it seems they won't be released for a while, not until Horus Heresy 9: Crusade is released.

And this guy is the Mechanicum Knight Moirax with Lightning Locks. Wait, what? They are both Knight Moirax? Uh, okay, so unlike the Armiger Warglaive or Armiger Helverin, they are Knight Moirax with a variety of different weapon loadouts. From what I see (Valiant Storm on Reddit), they will be 35 Great British Pounds each. That's about US$55, if we account for an extra 20% markup.

I'm pretty sure there are at least two other different weapons if what we saw from the 4 photographs previewed yesterday were of any indication (those two weapons don't look like Lightning Locks at all - maybe they are graviton or something?). I guess we'll find out soon.

Mechanicum Armigers

A bit late here since I spent half the day in a conference, but Warhammer Community has finished updating their blog for good.

Not much stuff to report here, but we're getting new Armiger Knights and Dark Mechanicum in Horus Heresy book 9: Crusade.

I have no idea what they do, or what they are, but I guess we'll find out soon. All I know is that we get pictures of them, but that's about it. Cool, I guess?

New Adeptus Titanicus stuff!

I might as well create a new post. We have new Adeptus Titanicus stuff, thanks to the information on the live blog about Warhammer Fest UK 2019!

As you can see, we will be getting new Reaver Titan carapace weapons! The warp missile rack and the Vulcan mega-bolter! Not only that, we're getting upgrades for our Knights, including the Stormspear rocket pod and Thunderstrike Gauntlet for our Questoris Knights! And the Acastus Knight Porphyrion, it seems! AWESOME!

According to the live blog, these are upgrade sets (I doubt the Acastus Knight Porphyrion is an upgrade set, though), so look forward to more! Make sure you get your Knights and Titans magnetized! I know I did!

We're also getting a new bunch of accessories, which includes Adeptus Titanicus dice, decks for Loyalist and Traitor Legions and the Acastus Knight Command Terminal! They had better restock the Cerastus one too...

We're also getting new scenery!

I'll let you know more when I get more news!

Apocalypse, Skorpius Dunerider and Chaos Knights!

Holy Omnissiah!!!!

Okay, first things first. You have to check Warhammer Community's Warhammer Fest UK 2019 Live Blog for the latest updates. And there's a ton of news. Check it here now.

I'm not going to cover them all, despite having some interest in the new Contrast paint (that's gonna save me lots of time). But the few things that catch my attention are these:

APOCALYPSE.

Being the Knight and Imperial Guard player that I am, this will allow me to field my entire collection (which includes my Skitarii fighting alongside my Guard and Knights!) in a single game. It's a 120-page field manual with lots of other stuff like movement trays, dice, command asset cards and tokens.

Best of all, the rules for our armies will be available ONLINE. Thank you so much, Games Workshop! This is one of the best decisions they have ever made! You can be sure I will be getting this Apocalypse at launch now!

Primaris Marines are getting the Repulsor Executioner, but I don't care about that because I don't play Space Marines. What interests me is this! The Adeptus Mechanicus transport for my Skitarii!

Yup, you're seeing that right. It's an open-topped hovering transport called the Skorpius Dunerider. It looks like it's a hover-tank, which makes sense, since we Adeptus Mechanicus guys have all the crazy tech. Heh! It's also armed to the teeth with Cognis heavy stubbers, if I'm looking at them right.

Definitely getting this for my Skitarii and Secutarii Hoplites (wait, can the Secutarii ride in these things? They don't have the <Forge World> keyword...)!

Oh, and you can build the Skorpius Dunerider differently. If you don't want the transport, you can build it as the Skorpius Disintegrator, which is a light tank that moves at high speed.

Cool, eh? Looks like a new Fast Attack choice for us, though I can't be sure!

Now, as a Knight player, it's time for me to brace myself for a new enemy that I must annihilate in order to preserve our honor.

Chaos Knights.

I honestly have no idea what's going on, but we are getting new Chaos Knights AND a Chaos Knight codex. Chaos Knights are getting the Knight Rampager and Knight Despoiler, as well as a brand new bunch of spikes, chains, horns and Daemonic faces.

Not only that, this new Chaos Knight kit comes with a new codex that allows you to combine all the Chaos Knight variants from the Renegade Knight index (in other words, you still get to pull your dual Gatling cannons bulls*) with new Stratagems, Relics, Warlord Traits and probably Household Traits. I daresay we'll see House Devine among them. Time to hunt these bastards down. I would be happy to field my honorable Loyalist Imperial Knights against these Chaos Knights! For the Emperor! Deus Ave Omnissiah!

Well, still no news on the Forge World Armigers just yet, but I'll be keeping my eye out for them. I love Volkite weaponry and I might just get a Knight Styrix along with them. And field them all in an Apocalypse game! Heh!

Holy Omnissiah! That's not all. We have new stuff incoming for Adeptus Titanicus, which includes carapace weapons for Reaver Titans, and new options for our Imperial Knights, including the Thunderstrike Gauntlet, the long awaited Stormspear Rocket pod and the Acastus Knight Porphyrion!

Forge World Armigers and new Acastus Knight!

Thanks to the ever reliable Natfka, I just found out about these awesome looking guys!

Since this is a Knights blog, of course I'll have to write a post about this even though Natfka already beat me to it (not that I'm trying to compete against him, but y'know).

The first Armiger looks like a Volkite variant. I have no idea what's going to happen, but either they sell the arms, or they sell the plastic Armiger, with the volkite or resin arm options (just like the Forge World Questoris Knights). Either way, we'll see. Would be fun to get an all Volkite Knight army with my Carnodon tanks! We'll see!
