My blog is primarily my own personal fluff in the Warhammer 40,000 universe regarding the Draconis system such as the Knight House Yato in Ryusei, their Household Militia, the Draconian Defenders, and the Forge World of Draconis IV with its Adeptus Mechanicus priesthood, Cybernetica cohorts and Skitarii legions, and the Titan Legion, Legio Draconis, known as the Dark Dragons.

More Horus Hearsay stuff - PLASMA!

As you guys know, I'm a huge fan of plasma. That's why I'm excited about the new Questoris Knight Defender, and my Ryuusei Katanas are armed to the teeth with plasma in the form of a Stormblade and Leman Russ Executioner tanks. That's also why I have a Dark Angels for Horus Heresy, with all the plasma incinerators for the Dreadwing Interemptors. So when I saw this new update, I'm like, hell, yeah!

It looks different from the plasma cannons that the Saturnine Terminators are equipped with. I have no idea why. But I love plasma, so I'm happy to see more plasma weapons! For the veterans, maybe? Plasma disintegrator? Nah...pretty sure the disintegrators are their own weapons. In Valrak we trust.

Combi-meltas come on slings now. This is for the Veteran Legionary. Yay.

Metal Bawkses! Cowards! They hide in their metal bawkses! Now watch my new Saturnine Dreadnought stomp these metal bawkses into a pile of scrap!

New tactical objectives. Looks familiar? It's the same one from Adeptus Titanicus, but I assume it's for a different purpose.

Everyone was talking about the "leak" of the new Saturnine box a few days ago. I didn't because everyone else already did, and I don't really have more to add. Only reason why I have this up is because I saw the plasma weapon, and nobody was talking about the new plasma weapon on the sprue.

Dreadnought with plasma. Saturnine Dreadnought with plasma. Hell, yeah. I love plasma. Also, he looks huge. Just the way we like them giant robots.

We get a new rulebook too. 3rd edition, here we come. I've seen a lot of people on Reddit screaming that "no one asked for this" in typical Redditor fashion, but...oh, well. Hopefully, it's a cleanup of 2nd edition and not an overhaul. I think Contemptor Dreadnoughts and heavy support squads need fixes and all the blast and ordnance weapons need their AP back - AP 4 is kind of...overdoing it, but aside from that, I think it's fine.

Yes, Arbitor Ian and a bunch of Warhammer loretubers are correct. The Terminator from the 1990s was never named Saturnine, but that doesn't mean Games Workshop can't bring back an old design and use the fan-favorite name. Call it retcon, call it ever-changing lore (or lore in flux), I think it's a great move to both bring back a retro design and simultaneously have a nod to fans for coining the term "Saturnine Terminator." It actually brings the community closer to the hobby and get them involved. So many of us have been calling it Saturnine Terminator for years, so Games Workshop making it canon is actually a great move.

Not sure if that's a rotor cannon or a disintegrator, but I'm going to assume disintegrator. The single special weapon for a Veteran squad rather than having a sprue with 10 of these weapons. Might even be a Veteran-only weapon. Also, MKII armor. Hell, yeah.

I'm definitely making a Dark Angels army in MKII with Saturnine Dreadnoughts and Terminators, and arm them to the teeth with plasma weapons.

Ammo and plasma flasks for those plasma weapons.

Isn't that from the Saturnine Terminator's pauldron?

Objective markers. Similar to what we have for Kill Team, I think? Or Legions Imperialis. I remember using a paper/cardboard version of this for Legions Imperialis objective markers. So yeah, definitely objective markers, but in plastic.

Anyway, seems cool. I can't wait.
